Douglas has been teaching for 10 years and has experience working with students of all ages and abilities. He has studied pedagogy with John Ellis (Michigan) and Hannah Creviston (ASU) where he has developed skills to teach from a variety of methods and led to the development of his own unique approach to piano lessons that caters to the individual. Douglas enjoys helping students and their parents reach their goals while pushing them to succeed and become lifelong learners and appreciators of music. When he is not teaching piano Douglas enjoys spending time outdoors mountaineering, cycling, and exploring with his wife.

“Doug is really a unique piano teacher because he always takes the time to make sure all of his students have a firm grasp of the piano. His open and student based approach to both group and individual lessons really make learning the piano more fun and enjoyable for his students as they continue to learn how to play the instrument.”
